Kristin Fisher has joined CNN in July 2021 as the station's Space and Defense Correspondent. In that role, she covers all aspects of space, from NASA and the newly created Space Force, to commercial space companies and the advent of space tourism. As the daughter and the mother of two NASA astronauts Kristin was raised in the industry of space. She worked for the past five years reporting on the Biden and Trump Space policies of the administration as a White House Correspondent for FOX News. During that time, she also covered presidential impeachment trials, the 2020 presdiential campaign, and two administration's attempts to control the coronavirus pandemic. Kristin traveled frequently, and both with the president and vice-president. She was even on a top-secret trip to Afghanistan alongside Donald Trump. Before being hired by the channel in 2015, Kristin spent nearly a decade working her way up in local TV news stations which included Grand Junction, Colorado; Little Rock, Arkansas; and Washington, D.C. where she was awarded one Emmy Award as a one-man-band reporter for the Washington, D.C.'s CBS affiliate. Kristin started Field Mouse Films with her experience behind the camera in the year 2014. The company specialized in making documentaries for corporate clients, including Uber and Starwood Hotels & Resorts. Kristin holds a Bachelor of Science in Journalism which she received from Boston University. Her husband and three year-old daughter live in Washington, D.C.
